Bitcoin & ETF News
US spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have strung together their strongest three-week inflow run of 2026, drawing a combined $3.8 billion between mid-August and the week ending Sept. 5
The most recent week of that stretch broughtin $986.9 million on its own. Total net assets across the entire US spot Bitcoin ETF category reached $101.3 billion by the close of Sept. 5, after briefly climbing to $103.3 billion the session before. Cumulative net inflows across all US spot Bitcoin ETFs since launch have now reached $55.6 billion.
The run comes after a difficult start to the year. Heavy outflows dominated the category in the early months of 2026, and year-to-date net flows remain roughly $1 billion in the red despite the recent recovery.
The final day of the tracking week told a more measured story. Net inflows on Sept. 5 totaled $174.6 million, a sharp step down from the $731 million that had entered the funds on Sept. 4. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the day with $117.4 million, representing about 67% of total inflows, accordingto Farside Investors. Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) added $57.2 million. Every other US spot Bitcoin ETF reported zero net flows for the session.
Bitcoin’s price added to the cautious tone. BTC slid from around $81,200 to briefly below $79,000 on Sept. 5, following a surprise nonfarm payrolls report. It was trading at $79,716 at the time of publication, still up about 2.6% over the prior seven days.

Ether and XRP ETFs See Weekly Flows Retreat
While Bitcoin ETF inflows grew roughly 7% from the prior week, competing products moved in the opposite direction. US spotEthereum (ETH) ETF inflows fell about 74%, droppingfrom $824.4 million to $218.4 million.XRP ETF inflows declined around 83%, falling$to $19 million from $110.5 million the week before, per SoSoValue.
Both categories remain positive for the year. US spot ETH ETFs carry approximately $863 million in year-to-date net inflows. XRP ETFs have attracted roughly $515 million over the same period. Bitcoin ETFs remain the laggard on a year-to-date basis, sitting about $1 billion negative even after the three-week recovery. The gap illustrates how quickly capital rotated through the category in early 2026 before the recent reversal.
