1inch Expands to Sonic Network; Enabling Fastest EVM Transactions

The leading decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator, 1inch, has announced its integration of Sonic Network, a high-performance EVM Layer-1 blockchain, aiming to revolutionize DeFi trading with unprecedented speed and efficiency.

This new development promises faster transactions, robust protection against Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) attacks, and access to the best cross-chain swap rates. Sonic Labs’ infrastructure, reportedly capable of processing over 400,000 transactions per second (TPS), and 1inch’s prominent swapping mechanism will offer its users seamless asset swapping across multiple protocols without the need for bridges.

Amid heightened activity in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space, the integration leverages Sonic’s scalability and storage capabilities, offering developers a streamlined environment while ensuring traders benefit from industry-leading rates and rapid transaction speeds.

1inch co-founder Sergej Kunz emphasized the partnership’s role in unifying the DeFi ecosystem, stating, “This integration marks a significant step towards our vision of a cohesive and efficient DeFi landscape.”

Meanwhile, Sonic Labs CEO Michael Kong also highlighted the alignment with their mission to advance Web3 innovation, noting, “Together, we are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in decentralized finance.”

This development has solidified 1inch’s position as a top decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator, which is continually expanding its reach and capabilities.
