strategy can sell 603 million of stock in a single week.
Uh but the next story is the fact that the companies that copied its Bitcoin strategy are discovering that they cannot do that. Here’s the headline that hit and wow.
Bitcoin Treasury companies shed 80 billion dollars in value as business model unwinds.
What has two thumbs and told you copying strategy was going to be a terrible idea for all these companies.
This guy.
been saying it for a year and a half and sadly, my opinion on what was going to happen is coming true.
So the story here is that the combined market cap of the 50 largest Bitcoin treasury companies, didn’t even know there were 50 of them, has fallen from approximately 150 billion
in July of 2025 when this was all the hype to $67 billion dollars, meaning that more than 80 billion, as you saw there has been erased from the trade.
43 of the 50 companies now trade below where they were when they announced their Bitcoin strategy. That seems bad.
I mean it’s so bad and 35 have fallen by at least 50% out of 50.
So in July, if you weren’t paying attention, the 50 largest treasury companies became net Bitcoin sellers, selling approximately 2,500 Bitcoin more than they purchased.
The problem was never these companies buying Bitcoin. We were all here for that. The problem was that they had no operating cash flow, no plan, and nobody with half a brain running their companies.
Hire me.
I’m here. There are people making millions of dollars at Bitcoin Treasury companies right now to stare at a screen every single day for a year and do nothing except for watch their stock go down.
It’s really, really, really, uh, an insane situation and it was never going to work.
So now what you had was a bunch of companies raised a bunch of money, their stocks went up 27X, they bought a bunch of Bitcoin at the top, saved no money for buying the dip as you would tell a retail person for. And now like strategy, even though strategy obviously, uh, I think has an a superior machine and will do exceptionally well.
Without any of the planned strategy had, they’re also selling here at the bottom. I don’t know what the future of these is. I don’t know if they’re going to be able to consolidate. I don’t know if there’s going to be a buyer that can come in and create a fund with all of these. Apparently they have horrible obligations and debts, so it’s not even worth buying up the Bitcoin in a lot of these.
But we have proven once again that holding Bitcoin is not a business model.
Strategy built a unique capital market machine and it took six years and they accumulated almost a million Bitcoin doing it, which puts them in a very, very different situation than probably 48 of the other 50 larpers that have come in and tried to copy and this could only end one way and we’re seeing exactly how this unwinds.
That said, I’m here for it. Bitcoin is up.
These guys are selling the bottom. Those are bottom signals, once again, and probably a good thing to get this out of the way before the next bull market.
