XRP Defies Pre-September Fears: Analyst Shows Why History Favors 12.19% Move Up
September is traditionally considered the worst month for the crypto market, but $XRP appears ready to ignore those concerns. While investors have paused in anticipation of a seasonal downturn, technical analyst Xaif Crypto has revealed a strong historical anomaly: since 2018, $XRP has closed the first month of autumn in the green five times versus just three negative closes, maintaining an average return of +12.19%.
The historical data stands in stark contrast to <a href="https://xpertsstudio.com/bitcoin-ready-for-next-leg-up-top-trader-says/” title=”Bitcoin Ready for Next Leg Up, Top Trader Says”>Bitcoin‘s behavior, as the cryptocurrency usually enters a correction ahead of September. $XRP’s current resilience is reinforced by rare market synchronization: in the final hours of August, $XRP, XLM and Bitcoin simultaneously formed identical weekly setups.
September has historically been decent for $XRP average return of +12.19%, with 5 green Septembers vs 3 red since 2018.

All three assets successfully bounced from their local lows and are now testing key reclaim levels. For $XRP, the critical support level is $1.35, while Bitcoin has secured its position at $77,600.
In technical analysis, the synchronized emergence of such patterns right before the start of a new month indicates that major capital is preparing for a strong upward move.
Legislation, major funds and escrow: What could support $XRP even if the charts fail
Beyond the charts, the bullish scenario is supported by a strong news backdrop at the end of August:
- ETF inflows: According to SoSoValue, weekly net inflows into spot $XRP ETFs reached a record $110.49 million, with assets under management totaling $1.44 billion. Banking giant Goldman Sachs also confirmed in its 13F filing that it holds more than $86 million in $XRP ETF positions.
- Political catalyst: A key Senate vote on the CLARITY Act is scheduled for Sept. 15. Its passage would definitively establish $XRP’s status as a digital commodity and eliminate regulatory risks.
- Escrow unlock: The scheduled release of 1 billion tokens on Sept. 1 is not expected to create pressure on order books, as historically, between 600 million and 800 million $XRP are immediately returned to new escrow contracts.
The market’s coordinated movement “in lockstep,” combined with institutional inflows, creates conditions in which the historical +12.19% pattern could easily play out, completely breaking the bears’ pre-September fears.
