Raini Studios Token (RST) crypto has suddenly rallied. The token is up roughly 22% over the past week and 14% in the last 24 hours alone, beating both the crypto market in general and the GameFi sector. In short, RST has jumped back onto people’s radar screens after a long period of obscurity.
Technically, RST is not a new token. It was issued in 2023 as the successor to RAINI. RST has a minuscule market capitalization on the order of $79,000 and a daily trading value also on the order of thousands of dollars. This makes its recent rally both notable and fragile.
What Is RST Crypto?
Raini Studios Token is the cryptocurrency issued by Raini Studios, a Web3 gaming company that previously focused on the trading card game Raini: The Lords of Light .
RST originated from a 2023 conversion of RAINI. The token was converted at a 1:1 ratio, with the transition concluding in March 2024.
The token initially launched on Beam, the gaming-oriented Avalanche subnet, before being deployed on other blockchains as well through LayerZero bridges. It also had an initial issuance on Ethereum and Avalanche.
RST was intended to be a ‘deflationary’ gaming coin, with a maximum supply of 1 billion. CoinGecko currently reports roughly 919 million total/max supply, while CoinMarketCap continues to list 1 billion.
At approximately $0.00014, that gives RST crypto a market capitalization of only about $79,000, and a fully diluted value (FDV) of approximately $128,000. In other words, RST is a micro-cap token.
Why Is RST Crypto Suddenly Moving?
The most obvious reason why RST is presently rallying is price performance.
Currently, per CoinGecko, RST is up around 14% on a 24-hour basis and 15% on a seven-day basis. The token has bounced around 30% from its June 10th, 2025, all-time low of $0.00009895.
This is a considerable move, even though GameFi coins have generally had a stronger year.
Notwithstanding, at the present time, there does not appear to be any significant news from Raini Studios that could explain the strength in RST. CoinGecko presently does not list any recent insights or relevant news catalysts for the token.
This is particularly relevant because of the low liquidity of the coin. At the moment, only two RST markets are tracked by CoinGecko: the RST/WETH pair on Uniswap and the RST/WBEAM on Beam Swap.
The combined daily trading value for these two markets has, as of late, only been on the order of $400-$550. In other words, RST is a tiny micro-cap with shallow liquidity. This means even a small amount of capital can push RST price of up substantially.
A $10 million token normally needs substantial buying pressure to rally 20%. A token worth less than $100,000 with this sort of shallow liquidity can easily achieve the same sort of percentage price increase that we see with a $10 million portfolio in a much more liquid asset.
What Was RST Crypto Designed to Do?
RST initially had a fairly sophisticated tokenomics design. The underlying concept was that RST would be the ‘utility token’ for Raini Studios’ gaming ecosystem.
In particular, RST was necessary to purchase certain in-game items: namely, content, card packs, and battle passes. Additionally, users needed RST to buy LUX, the company’s premium currency.
The game’s ecosystem also featured staking. RST stakers would receive Rainbows, while liquidity providers would receive Unicorns as a reward, using it for raffles, auctions, and other purposes.
Essentially, the design at the time was that increased adoption of Raini Studios’ products would drive demand for its token. Furthermore, the token’s design was inherently ‘deflationary’, as it sought to link RST’s supply with the economy of its games.
This is no longer the case.
What Happened to Raini: The Lords of Light?
This is the most important consideration for understanding RST at the moment.
The game most strongly associated with RST, Raini: The Lords of Light , has permanently shut down as of July 21st, 2025.
At one point, RTLOL was Raini Studios’ flagship product, featuring a trading card game format similar to Hearthstone or Magic: The Gathering, but with crypto-themed cards and characters.
However, the game was unable to build up a substantial player base, and when Raini Studios announced the shutdown, it also suspended the play-to-earn, leaderboard, and collect-to-earn RST emissions. The company distributed a final 2 million RST to users in June and July of 2025.
Raini Studios has stated that it will focus more reJon Jones Brawler
This presents a problem for RST as a speculative investment. Many discussions around RST presently continue to center on RTLOL, even as that game has permanently shut down. Even CoinGecko’s description of the project still cites it as the flagship title of Raini Studios. This is no longer accurate.
Does RST Crypto Still Have Utility?
At this point, potentially, but with a significant number of caveats.
Raini Studios’ original intention was for RST to be the utility token for its entire gaming ecosystem, rather than a single game. Therefore, the cessation of one game does not necessarily imply the end of RST.
In fact, the discontinuation of RTLOL has also resulted in the cessation of certain RST emissions, which was a ‘deflationary’ factor. In theory, this should have pushed the price of RST higher, all else being equal.
The bullish case for RST at this point would involve the resumption of RST utilization in Raini Studios’ new titles, as it represents a significant missed opportunity in terms of demand.
With that said, the original tokenomics design and present-day utility differ significantly. Furthermore, historical documents outlining the planned utility of RST are no longer relevant after the closure of RTLOL.
The documents presently housed on the RST website describe the utility of the token in terms of the purchase of card packs, battle passes, and LUX. With the game’s closure, they no longer have much relevance.
Similarly, the website mentions the plans to use RST on CEDEN.Network following the Raini Studios and CEDEN and Kanpai Studios joint venture, yet this looks like an obsolete development roadmap.
At this point, then, RST looks like a micro-cap utility token for a discontinued game that has to find new applications if it wishes to revive its price.
RST Tokenomics Explained
The original tokenomics for RST involved a 1 billion token supply that would be released over approximately five years, including:
- 50% initially circulating
- 27.5% allocated to adoption incentives
- 12.5% to private sale investors
- 5% to the treasury
- 5% to the player ecosystem.
In January 2024 Raini changed its tokenomics and extended relevant emissions from five years to ten years. The team pool was removed and replaced with a 5% Communities Pool.
The 2025 shutdown of Lords of Light eliminated its P2E, leaderboard, and collect-to-earn emissions entirely. The studio described a new deflationary model involving revenue-funded RST buybacks/burns and a transaction-tax burn.
RST presently has approximately 565 million tokens in circulation, 919 million tokens in total supply, and 1 billion tokens in maximum supply. This implies that approximately 350 million RST have been burned.
This results in the token’s market capitalization being 0.61 times its FDV. The former is presently on the order of $79,000.
While this value might seem low, it is actually quite the opposite: a market capitalization of even 1 million would represent an approximately 5,000% increase from its present value.
The same mathematics apply in the other direction. There is presently very little capital committed to RST, and therefore changes in price can be both rapid and deceptive.
The Biggest RST Crypto Risk Is Liquidity
Liquidity is an important consideration for any illiquid cryptocurrency, and RST is not an exception.
As noted previously, at the moment, RST only has two markets tracked by CoinGecko: the RST/WETH market on Uniswap, and the RST/WBEAM market on Beam Swap. These markets only have a combined daily trading value of a few hundred dollars.
At some points in this month, the daily volume for these two markets has dropped even lower. The same is true of the 2% on-chain liquidity, which is also measured on the order of a few hundred dollars.
This presents several issues.
First and foremost, price charts can be deceptive in the context of low liquidity. A single large purchase can drive up the price of an asset and create the impression of a breakout, when in reality the price is nowhere near a value that represents wider demand.
Secondly, the prices you see may not reflect the prices at which larger assets can be purchased or sold. As a result, large sell-offs can rapidly decrease the price of an asset, and the same applies to buy-ins.
Thirdly, percentages can be misleading. A 20% or 50% increase in a micro-cap coin can happen without sufficient capital commitment to support such a price increase.
Finally, thin markets mean that price reversals can be just as rapid as increases. This means that a coin that appears to be breaking out may just as easily drop back down in value.
In the context of RST crypto, this means that volume might be a more important consideration than price.
Can RST Crypto Recover Its Previous High?
The chart above provides an illustration of RST’s recent history. As the visual suggests, the price of RST has dropped precipitously in the past year.
The highest recorded price of RST was approximately $0.1342 on March 11, 2024. Today, it trades around $0.00014, which means that the token is presently roughly 99.9% lower than its all-time high.
In order to recover its previous high, RST would need to increase its price by approximately 1,000 times its present value. Mathematically, this is entirely plausible, as the market capitalization of the coin is minuscule.
Economically, on the other hand, such a price increase would not be sustainable unless there was sufficient demand for the token.
Is RST Crypto Worth Watching?
RST is interesting enough that it deserves attention, but not for the reason that the price chart might suggest.
It is worth noting that RST has a significant history. The token was created to consolidate the economy of Raini Studios, has been deployed on several blockchains, and had a substantial trading card game attached to it that once worked.
On the other hand, this economy has shut down, the utility of the token is largely defined by the discontinued product, and the value of the token has dropped nearly 100% since 2024.
With that said, RST has rallied more than 20% on a weekly basis and more than 50% since its June 10th, 2025, all-time low of $0.00009895. This increase has occurred despite there being only a few hundred dollars of daily volume.
If RST is to continue its ascent, it would have to do so on substantially greater volume. More importantly, for the price increase to be meaningful, the token would have to achieve sufficient liquidity and utility to justify the increase.
As it stands, RST is a micro-cap token, and its recent price increase is not substantially different from a similar increase in a completely worthless cryptocurrency. If the fundamentals of the token are not to be found in its increased price, it would not be a sustainable increase for long.
What is RST crypto?
RST crypto is Raini Studios Token, the cryptocurrency that was issued to fuel the Web3 gaming ecosystem that Raini Studios has developed. It was issued in 2024 as the replacement for RAINI.
Why is RST crypto rising?
RST has recently experienced a price increase of roughly 22% on a weekly basis and 13% on a daily basis. Notwithstanding, there does not appear to be any significant catalyst for this price increase, and the extremely low liquidity of the token means that even small trades can substantially impact its price.
Raini Studios has shut down the game Raini: The Lords of Light on July 21st, 2025. It had struggled to acquire a substantial player base, and the cessation of the game has resulted in the cessation of certain RST emissions.
Where can RST be traded?
CoinGecko presently tracks RST trading on Uniswap on Ethereum and on Beam Swap on Beam. It has extremely low liquidity and trading volume.
What is the RST all-time high?
Raini’s Studios Token had an all-time high of approximately $0.1342 in March 2024. At current prices around $0.00014, and it remains roughly 99.9% below that price.
