Solana is moving ahead with a plan to cut its block production interval to 200 milliseconds from 400 milliseconds through a four-phase upgrade, BeInCrypto reported. The first phase is set to be activated starting with epoch 1020, while all four changes have already been incorporated into Agave, the validator software developed by Solana network client Anza, and will be enabled sequentially. Once all changes are fully applied, Solana will produce a new block about every 0.2 seconds.
