Robinhood Chain revenue reached about $51 million in the third quarter of 2026, its first quarter of operation, exceeding Ethereum’s roughly $41 million. ARK Invest’s DeFi Quarterly supplied the comparison, which <a href="https://beincrypto.com/robinhood-chain-revenue-ethereum-ark-report/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>BeInCrypto detailed on October 22.

The brokerage-backed network opened its public mainnet on July 1. Its debut helped lift blockchain revenue across the networks ARK tracked, but the investment firm expects the unusually strong fee income to fade. Robinhood’s October 27 earnings release is the next milestone for shareholders assessing the business behind that activity.

Robinhood Chain Revenue’s $51 Million Debut Outpaced Ethereum
How Big Was Robinhood Chain’s Q3 Revenue Lead?
Robinhood Chain generated about $10 million more network revenue than Ethereum during Q3. Using ARK’s rounded totals, that puts the new network roughly 24% ahead of its settlement blockchain.
The result gave Robinhood a substantial opening quarter in a competitive market for on-chain trading. Ethereum, meanwhile, recorded a roughly 35% decline in network revenue from the second quarter.
What Happened Across the Networks ARK Tracked?
Combined network revenue rose about 24% quarter over quarter to roughly $349 million. ARK credited Solana’s recovery and Robinhood Chain’s debut with helping produce the first increase in five quarters.
The rebound still left the total about 47% below its level a year earlier, so Robinhood entered a market still recovering from a prolonged revenue contraction.
Why Does the July 1 Launch Matter?
The public mainnet opened at the start of Q3, giving Robinhood Chain a full operating quarter in ARK’s comparison. Its public testnet had gone live in February, about five months earlier.
That timing also makes the October earnings release important: Robinhood’s preceding quarterly results covered a business whose public blockchain had not yet opened for commercial activity.
Robinhood Chain Connects the Brokerage, Arbitrum and Ethereum
Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum Layer 2 built using Arbitrum’s Orbit technology. The network settles transactions on Ethereum and uses ETH▼$2,405.29 to pay gas fees, so Ethereum receives a portion of the fees generated by activity on the chain.
Where Does Uniswap Fit Into the Network’s Growth?
Robinhood Chain supplied roughly 53% of Uniswap’s September protocol revenue, according to NewsBTC’s account of figures discussed by Token Terminal. Uniswap’s monthly total reached roughly $14.8 million, with nearly $7.9 million coming from the new network.
Tokenized-stock trading supplied an additionalbinhood Chain became a major revenue venue within months of its launch
How Did Tokenized Stocks Reach Robinhood’s Blockchain Business?
Robinhood introduced tokenized U.S. stocks to European users through Arbitrum One before launching its own chain. The public mainnet extended that push into infrastructure bearing the brokerage’s name.
Robinhood’s Earlier Crypto Results Explain the Earnings Stakes
What Did Robinhood Report Before Mainnet Opened?
Robinhood’s Q2 crypto revenue was $100 million, down 38% from $160 million a year earlier. It also fell about 25% from $134 million in the first quarter.
That quarter ended June 30, immediately before the chain’s public launch. The October release follows a materially different operating period, with the network live throughout the quarter.
How Did Crypto Fit Into the Brokerage’s Wider Business?
Robinhood’s total Q2 revenue reached a record $1.31 billion. Options generated $342 million, equities produced $129 million, and event-contract revenue exceeded $156 million.
Crypto was a weaker part of an otherwise growing business. The new chain adds another potential
What Did the Existing Crypto Business Earn From Retail and Institutional Trading?
The Robinhood App supplied $94 million of Q2 crypto revenue on $18.3 billion in trading volume. Bitstamp generated $6 million on $22.1 billion in volume.
The main app earned substantially more revenue while processing less volume. The chain’s commercial appeal will likewise depend on the income its activity produces, not simply the size of its trading totals.
How Much Decentralized Trading Moved Through Robinhood Chain?
The network processed about $65 billion in decentralized exchange trading volume during Q3. That placed it fourth among the networks in ARK’s dataset.
Ethereum’s DEX volume fell about 27% from Q2, while Base’s declined about 17%. ARK said trading shifted toward newer venues, including Robinhood Chain.
How Important Were Tokenized Equities?
Tokenized equities accounted for about $13.7 billion of Robinhood Chain’s quarterly DEX volume, or roughly 21% of its total. BNB▼$734.15 Chain was the only network ahead in that category, with approximately $16.5 billion.
The equity-linked business gave Robinhood Chain a strong position beyond conventional crypto-token swaps. Sustaining that position will require recurring trading demand as competing venues pursue the same activity.
Where Did Ethereum Retain Its Lead?
Ethereum still hosted the largest value of tokenized real-world assets on public blockchains, at about $16.7 billion. Its share nevertheless slipped from about 50% in late June to 44% in ARK’s quarterly comparison.
Ethereum retained leadership in tokenized asset value while newer networks, including Robinhood Chain, gained ground in trading and revenue.
Robinhood Chain’s Revenue Outlook Depends on More Than Trading Rank
What Has Robinhood Said About Earning Money From the Chain?
In its Q2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Robinhood said its ability to generate revenue from the chain depends significantly on network adoption and developer activity.
That puts applications and users at the center of the company’s stated outlook. A busy opening quarter provides an operating base; durability depends on continued participation after launch.
What Accounting Precedent Does Coinbase Provide?
Coinbase said in July that it books Base sequencer fees within other transaction revenue. That revenue line fell about 11% from the first quarter to $47.4 million.
Chief Financial Officer Alesia Haas attributed the decline to lower instant-transfer activity and Base revenue. Coinbase’s treatment gives investors a concrete example of blockchain-related income appearing within a broader corporate revenue category.
What Would Support a More Durable Business?
Robinhood’s filing points to adoption and developer activity, while Uniswap’s September results highlight demand for tokenized-stock trading. Continued use across those areas would support the case for an enduring network business.
The recent Aero expansion adds another development to watch. Aerodrome and Velodrome merged to launch Aero across seven networks, including Robinhood Chain The launch also spans Ethereum mainnet, Base, Ink, OP Mainnet, Arc and Arbitrum
Robinhood Chain Risks Include Congestion Fees and Concentrated Demand
Why Does ARK Expect Revenue to Moderate?
ARK expects Robinhood Chain’s unusually strong revenue numbers to ease. It linked that forecast to what it described as a recent increase in gas on the network, saying the change would eliminate high fees associated with congestion pricing.
Revenue supported by congestion can weaken even as the chain continues attracting users and applications.
Why Is Uniswap’s Revenue Concentration a Risk?
A single network supplied more than half of Uniswap’s September protocol revenue. Changes in Robinhood Chain’s trading incentives, competitive position or user activity could therefore have a substantial effect on the exchange’s income.
Tokenized-stock trading has become a meaningful contributor, but incentives and competition can alter where traders transact and where protocols collect fees.
What Should Traders Check About Tokenized Stocks?
Stock-linked tokens can differ in legal rights, issuer structures and geographic restrictions. Some are not equivalent to direct ownership of the underlying shares.
For U.S. retail readers, the product’s eligibility rules and ownership terms matter alongside its trading venue. Robinhood’s earlier stock-token rollout served European users, underscoring the importance of the jurisdiction attached to a particular offering.
October 27 Brings Robinhood Chain’s First Full-Quarter Earnings Test
Robinhood is scheduled to release Q3 results on October 27, 2026. The report will cover the first full quarter in which its public blockchain was operating.
The release brings the network’s strong opening performance into the company’s regular earnings cycle. Management’s discussion of adoption, developers and transaction-related income will be relevant to evaluating the chain’s role in the wider business.
Continued tokenized-equity trading and developer activity would support Robinhood’s stated revenue drivers, while Ethereum settlement and ETH gas usage keep the network tied to the broader ecosystem. ARK’s congestion-fee warning supplies the counterweight: the next phase is a test of whether recurring usage can sustain meaningful revenue as unusually lucrative fee conditions fade.
When Did Robinhood Chain’s Public Mainnet Launch?
Commercial mainnet operation began on July 1, 2026, following a public testnet launched in February. The launch fell immediately after Robinhood’s second quarter ended.
Which Token Does Robinhood Chain Use to Pay Gas Fees?
The network uses ETH for gas and settles its transactions on Ethereum. Ethereum receives a portion of the fees generated by that activity.
When Will Robinhood Report Results Covering the Chain’s First Full Quarter?
The scheduled reporting date is October 27, 2026. Those Q3 results cover the July-to-September period when the public mainnet was operating.
Where Did Robinhood Chain Rank by Q3 Decentralized Exchange Trading Volume?
ARK placed Robinhood Chain fourth in its network comparison, with about $65 billion in quarterly DEX volume. The firm described trading activity shifting toward newer venues during the quarter.
How Much Tokenized-Equity Trading Did Robinhood Chain Process in Q3?
Its quarterly tokenized-equity volume reached about $13.7 billion. BNB Chain led that category with roughly $16.5 billion, leaving Robinhood Chain in second place.
Which Blockchain Held the Most Tokenized Real-World Asset Value?
Ethereum remained the largest host, with about $16.7 billion in tokenized real-world asset value. Its public-blockchain market share stood at 44% in ARK’s comparison.
Where Does Coinbase Record Base Sequencer Fees?
Coinbase includes them within other transaction revenue. That broader category totaled $47.4 million in the quarter discussed in its July disclosure, with instant transfers also affecting the result.
