South Korea’s Financial Services Commission held a security review meeting at 10:00 a.m. UTC today with officials from won-based exchanges including Upbit, Bithumb and Coinone, as well as coin-only exchanges, The Herald Business reported.
An FSC official said the meeting was intended to review how domestic virtual asset exchanges are prepared amid concerns over the Binance incident. The session was arranged ahead of a broader financial-sector security inspection scheduled for Nov. 5, with a focus on first checking the response posture of the cryptocurrency industry after recent large-scale hacking incidents.
