Trezor, the world’s second-largest hardware wallet maker, warned some customers to move their assets after receiving a tip that unauthorized hardware may have been inserted into Trezor Safe 5 devices sold by reseller Cryptobilis in August.
Trezor said it has not secured the device in question, so it has not confirmed whether tampering occurred. No cases of customer fund losses have been reported so far.
The company urged users who bought products from Cryptobilis since March to create a wallet with a new recovery seed and transfer their assets promptly.
