Crypto industry super PAC Fairshake held more than $95 million in election funds as of late September, Politico reported.
Fairshake is funded mainly by Coinbase, Ripple and Andreessen Horowitz, or a16z, and backs pro-crypto candidates in both the Democratic and Republican parties. One Fairshake affiliate, Defend American Jobs, spent $45 million to support Republican Sen. Jon Husted and block the election of former Sen. Sherrod Brown, who is critical of crypto. Separately, Fairshake is also funding the campaigns of 32 incumbent pro-crypto House members. It remains unclear whether the group will deploy all of its remaining funds in the November midterm elections or save part of the money for the 2028 election cycle.
