Companies accumulating crypto assets are continuing to raise funds by issuing high-dividend preferred shares, Bloomberg said.
According to the report, Strive (ASST) is issuing preferred stock with yields around 17%, comparable to distressed-debt returns, while Strategy (MSTR) halted new sales of its existing 12% dividend preferred shares after their price plunged but is still diluting shareholder value by selling common stock. Bloomberg said the firms are targeting retail investors seeking stable cash flow, even as warnings persist over repayment prospects and the risks tied to products marketed as high-yield.
