All 100 economists surveyed by Reuters expect the Federal Reserve to raise its benchmark interest rate in December. Of those, 94 expect the Fed to lift the federal funds rate to 4.00%–4.25% by year-end, Reuters reported. In a September survey, only 29 of 76 respondents expected the same level.
