About $43 million has been deposited into the OUSD lending vault launched by DeFi analytics firm Sentora on the Tempo blockchain, but actual borrowing demand has remained extremely weak. The vault operates on decentralized lending protocol Morpho and lets users borrow OUSD against Coinbase Wrapped Bitcoin (cbBTC) collateral.
As of Oct. 19, outstanding loans had at one point fallen to 4.51 OUSD, indicating that most of the deposited funds were not being utilized. As a result, yield generated from lending interest is effectively close to 0%, while the current annual yield of around 3.6% depends largely on external incentives.
