Crypto investment firm DWF Labs said the market has yet to fully price in the potential of convergence between artificial intelligence and the crypto industry.
DWF Labs said wider use of AI agents for trading and payments could speed up information processing and decision-making for retail investors, while also automating the buildout of fund management infrastructure. Even so, DWF Labs said capital tied to that trend has not yet flowed into the crypto market on a large scale.
As digitization advances and AI agents become more sophisticated, demand for crypto infrastructure could also rise, the firm said. DWF Labs added that crypto network-based computing power markets could emerge as a potential investment theme within the next year.
The firm highlighted decentralized physical infrastructure networks, or DePIN, as an area to watch for addressing AI shortages in data, energy, and distributed inference computing. It also pointed to digital identity for verifying human identity in AI agent environments and payment infrastructure that lets users pay for AI inference services with crypto.
