Bitcoin could top $175,000 next year, Brian Vieten, chief research analyst at U.S. financial services firm Siebert Financial, said, according to Bitcoin.com.
Vieten said broader participation by institutional investors and shifts in crypto market structure have made the BTC market more stable than before. Long-term demand through exchange-traded funds and more diversified corporate fundraising methods could help reduce the kind of large-scale selling pressure seen in the past, Vieten said. Vieten added that wider use of U.S. dollar-based stablecoins could expand the user base and liquidity for blockchain-based financial services, which could ultimately boost investment demand for cryptocurrencies including BTC.
