Tron founder Justin Sun said on X Tron has deployed quantum-resistant cryptography on its testnet to respond to potential attacks from quantum computers. Sun said Tron is closely monitoring advances in quantum computing and artificial intelligence and is ready to introduce quantum-resistant technology to the mainnet at any time.
Sun added Tron aims to become one of the major blockchains with quantum resistance in place before “Q-Day,” the point at which quantum computers could render existing cryptographic systems ineffective. A timeline for deploying the technology on the mainnet was not disclosed.
