BNY said it will expand cryptocurrency custody services for select institutional clients in the European Union after its European banking entity, The Bank of New York Mellon SA/NV, was added to the European Securities and Markets Authority’s MiCA register earlier this year. The move allows BNY to provide crypto custody, administration and transfer services to eligible clients in the EU. As of the end of June, BNY held $62.6 trillion in assets under custody and administration.
