Greece has drafted a bill to impose a 10% tax on cryptocurrency income and has launched a public consultation process, Reuters reported.
Under the draft, annual capital gains from crypto transfers of up to 500 euros ($560) would be exempt from taxation. The bill is scheduled to be submitted to parliament in November. Greek authorities said most investors use overseas platforms, making it difficult to accurately estimate the size of the domestic crypto market. As a result, projected tax revenue from the proposed regime has not yet been calculated.
