Yuval Rooz, CEO of Digital Asset, the developer of Canton (CC), argued institutional blockchain adoption should expand to a point where it would be difficult to reverse even if the U.S. regulatory stance shifts after the 2028 presidential election, Cointelegraph reported. Speaking at Token2049 in Singapore, Rooz said widespread service adoption, as seen with Uber and Airbnb, makes government regulation harder.
Separately, Binance co-CEO Richard Teng said he still hopes the Clarity Act will pass after it was stalled in a Senate procedural vote in September, adding the bill could help prevent regulatory backtracking and encourage institutional entry into the market. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson, however, said the market should not rely solely on the bill, noting the U.S. SEC and CFTC are already reducing regulatory uncertainty.
