Iran’s central bank plans to block rial-denominated bank accounts and payment gateways used by some cryptocurrency exchanges over concerns about market manipulation in USDT trading, Crypto Briefing reported. Earlier, the central bank limited daily USDT purchases to 2,000 on major exchanges including Nobitex and Wallex in late September and halted USDT trading each day from 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. UTC. If implemented, the latest measure could make it harder for exchange users to deposit rials and buy cryptocurrencies such as USDT.
