Near Intents, a cross-chain intent protocol based on NEAR, said a hack caused about $3.8 million in losses.
The protocol said the incident stemmed from a bug in interactions between its omni deposit and withdrawal infrastructure and the Near Intents smart contract, and added the related vulnerability has been patched. Near Intents said it plans to fully compensate the losses. Services are expected to resume in about one hour, while deposits and withdrawals on some networks, including BSC, Polygon, TON, Optimism and Avalanche, will remain suspended for an additional 12 hours. The protocol said it has reported the incident to investigative authorities and is tracing and seeking to recover the stolen funds.
