About 81% of Bitcoin’s total supply, or roughly 16.3 million BTC, has remained dormant for more than six months with no transfer activity, according to an analysis by Unfolded. The analysis found that while BTC has risen about 50% since the start of the year, trading volume has fallen by around 30%, indicating the market could face a supply shock amid tightening liquidity.
