Strategy CEO Phong Le said JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon has attacked Bitcoin publicly for years but likely supports it privately, according to BeInCrypto.
Speaking on a podcast, Le said Strategy aims to become the JPMorgan of the digital economy. Asked how Dimon might view that goal, Le said Dimon is, in his view, a Bitcoin supporter and appears to be saying what is necessary in public, adding that anyone who studies and understands Bitcoin becomes a supporter.
Le emphasized Strategy does not want to become a bank. Instead, Le said the company wants to serve as a hub for Bitcoin-based finance, developing and selling investment products much like JPMorgan does on Wall Street. Le also disagreed with the view that Bitcoin will replace banks, saying Bitcoin will improve the current system while the U.S. dollar remains in place, and adding that Bitcoin and AI are the most important technologies of this century.
