Russia’s central bank has unveiled a draft rule that would cap commercial banks’ and financial groups’ exposure to crypto-related assets at 1% of equity capital, CryptoSlate reported. The proposal would tightly regulate banks’ proprietary risk-taking while protecting client custody assets through differentiated segregation based on liability allocation. The central bank plans to publish a formal bill in the fourth quarter, and the measure would take effect 10 days after publication.
