North American Derivatives Exchange (Nadex), the US-regulated derivatives arm of Crypto(dot)com, filed Form 1-N with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Sept. 14 to register as a national securities exchange for trading futures products.
The SEC acknowledgedthe filing on Sept. 16, with the registration taking immediate effect. The clearance authorizes OG(dot)com, Nadex’s affiliated trading platform, to list single-stock futures for US market participants.
Crypto(dot)com co-founder and CEO Kris Marszalek disclosed the development in an X poston Sept. 17. Nadex separately holds registration with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as a designated contract market and derivatives clearing organization. OG(dot)com recently spun off as an independent trading platform before the SEC filing was submitted.
Marszalek said the company is now working with both the SEC and the CFTC to gain approval for single-stock perpetual futures in the US. Perpetual futures are futures contracts with no fixed expiration date, a structure widely used in crypto markets but not yet established for equities in the US. “We are working with the SEC and the CFTC to offer single-stock perps in the U.S., which will combine the innovations of the digital asset markets with the U.S. capital markets,” he wrote.
In early September, Robinhood struck a deal to route a selection of event contracts through OG(dot)com, starting with football markets. As part of that arrangement, Robinhood agreed to take equity stakes in both Crypto(dot)com and OG(dot)com. The deal marked one of the first formal equity partnerships between a traditional retail brokerage and a crypto-native derivatives platform.

Crypto(dot)com is not the only platform moving in this direction. Coinbase filed its own notice registration earlier in September to list equity perpetual futures in the US, with Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad confirming CFTC approval would also be required. Coinbase had already launched stock perpetual futures for non-US traders in March, after rolling out regulated crypto futures and 24/5 cash equities domestically in February.
Kraken announced a separate deal with the London Stock Exchange in September to offer tokenized UK stocks with 24/5 availability through the exchange’s night-time trading venue, targeting a 2027 start. Each of these moves reflects a shared strategy among crypto platforms: applying digital asset market structures to traditional equity products in jurisdictions where regulators are open to it.
