XRP Up 3% as Ripple Adds XRP Payments to Stripe, Tempo’s AI Standard

XRP(<a href="https://xpertsstudio.com/fca-publishes-crypto-regime-guidance/” title=”FCA publishes crypto regime guidance”>CRYPTO: XRP) gained Thursday as Ripple expanded the XRP Ledger into AI-driven payments, adding XRP support to the Machine Payments Protocol co-authored by Stripe and Tempo.

Why XRP, RLUSD Could Be Top Developer Choices

Ripple released version 1.1 of its XRP Ledger AI Starter Kit, adding support for the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) and the Open Wallet Standard.

MPP is an open standard developed by Stripe and Tempo that allows AI agents to pay for online services without traditional accounts or checkout flows.

The integration makes XRPL a settlement option within MPP, allowing AI agents to make single payments using XRP, issued assets such as Ripple USD(CRYPTO: RLUSD) and Multi-Purpose Tokens.

XRP also supports MPP session payments through XRPL Payment Channels.

Stablecoin-based session payments are not yet available and depend on a proposed XRPL upgrade.

“Agentic payments will be multi-platform and multi-rail,” RippleX Head of Product Jazzi Coopersaid, adding that Ripple’s goal is to make XRP and RLUSD “first-class options wherever developers are building.”

Will XRP Hold $1.30?

XRP traded around $1.30 on Thursday after suffering a sell-off earlier this week.

Trader Cryptollica highlighted an extreme momentum reading, saying XRP’s two-week relative strength index has fallen to its lowest level in the 13-year chart history.

It is below the readings recorded during the 2018 bear market, the 2020 COVID crash and the 2022 downturn.

Despite the deeply oversold reading, the trader noted that XRP remains above its long-term rising structure.

Cryptollica argued that the combination of washed-out momentum and intact long-term support could become significant if the structure continues to hold.
