UK watchdog targets three London sites in latest crackdown on illegal crypto trading

LONDON, Sept 17 (Reuters) – Britain’s Financial Conduct
Authority said on Thursday it had taken action against illegal
peer-to-peer cryptocurrency trading in London, targeting three
premises suspected of operating unregistered crypto businesses.
The FCA said it had issued cease-and-desist letters to
traders at all three locations after an operation conducted
alongside Britain’s tax authority and the police. The finance
regulator did not identify the premises.
