South Korea’s Kwangju Bank said on Sept. 14 it completed a proof-of-concept project for digital meal vouchers at its staff cafeteria with the Solana Foundation and blockchain infrastructure company Nodeinfra.
The project was carried out as a follow-up to a business agreement signed with the Solana Foundation in June. Kwangju Bank said it implemented the entire process on a Solana-based blockchain environment for headquarters employees, from issuing digital wallets to issuing and using meal vouchers, transferring them between employees, and settlement. Based on the pilot’s results, the bank plans to review follow-up tasks and new services, including digital asset payments.
