XRP price drew attention on September 12 after two fund filings detailed different forms of market exposure. The Cryptex Digital Market Cap ETF fourth S-1/A lists XRP at 4.36% of its index and 4.88% of fund assets. Separately, Listed Funds Trust delayed Teucrium’s 2x Short Daily XRP ETF until October 11.
These are structural updates, not trading approvals or new XRP purchases. Both amendments were filed on September 11. Together, the documents place XRP in a multi-asset portfolio and extend the wait for an inverse product.
XRP Price Is in Focus as Cryptex Adds 4.36% Weight
Cryptex’s latest pre-effective amendment describes a proposed Nasdaq-listed, multi-asset crypto ETF. The portfolio follows the Cryptex Digital Market Cap Index, then applies eligibility screens and reweighting rules.
XRP carries a 4.36% index weight. It exceeds Solana at 2.80%, Chainlink at 3.15%, and Avalanche at 2.13%. The filing gives XRP a 4.88% fund weight after the stated portfolio adjustments.
After reweighting, assets below 0.50% are removed from the portfolio. That leaves the proposed fund able to differ from the broader index it follows.
This proposed ETF does not establish a trading start date. Cryptex defines an eligible component through regulated product links, including approved ETFs, exchange-traded futures, or options. The filing classifies XRP as an eligible component. It limits non-eligible components to 15% of fund assets.
Separate Charles Schwab Family of Funds data reported $4.8 million of XRP ETF shares as collateral. The reported positions covered Grayscale, Canary, and Franklin Templeton products. Collateral use does not show a direct Schwab investment allocation.
Teucrium Delays Short XRP ETF Effectiveness to October
Listed Funds Trust set October 11, 2026, as the new effective date for the Teucrium 2x Short Daily XRP ETF. The September 11 amendment expressly delays an earlier registration amendment.
That filing does not approve the product or confirm that it will begin trading that day. It also does not provide a fresh exchange listing, launch timetable, or revised strategy. The filing gives no basis to link the delay directly to XRP price action.
The proposed fund targets negative two times XRP’s daily performance before fees and expenses. A 1% daily XRP decline would target an approximately 2% gain. Daily compounding can produce sharply different results over longer holding periods.
Teucrium describes the inverse product as a short-term trading vehicle. Its prospectus warns that investors could lose their full principal within a single day. The existing long product, XXRP, targets twice XRP’s daily move through derivatives rather than direct token holdings.
ETF Central data putXRP assets at $151.5 million on September 9. It reported roughly $78 million in mid-August.
XRP Price Uses the 100-EMA as a Near-Term Reference
The XRP price traded near $1.36 on September 12 after reaching roughly $1.32 a day earlier. No filing identified a direct price reaction to either fund update.
Analyst EGRAG CRYPTO’s three-day chart identifies the 100-EMA as the immediate technical reference. The analyst watches the $1.38 to $1.40 reaction zone. Consecutive three-day closes above that range would provide the cited confirmation.
If the XRP price fails to hold that zone, the analysis highlights $0.95 to $1.00 as a possible liquidity area. Egrag also identifies $2.27 as a resistance reclaim level. The chart uses $3.84 as a macro breakout reference.
CryptoQuant data shows the 30-day XRP Volume Z-Score rose near four during August. It later moved close to zero. That places current volume near its measured average, rather than an extreme activity reading.
