    Pro-crypto Republican U.S. Sen. Cynthia Lummis said exchanges and issuers are currently exposed to litigation risk if they freeze stablecoins suspected of being tied to illegal activity. Lummis added the CLARITY Act would give exchanges and issuers authority to block illicit financial activity without facing civil liability.
