Ethereum price is consolidating near the mid-$2,400 region after a strong recovery during the second half of August.
ETH gained more than 25% from its mid-August lows before reaching the $2,500 area. It traded as high as roughly $2,546 on Sept. 4 before pulling back toward $2,450 on Sept. 5.
The current setup leaves $2,500–$2,550 as the first major resistance zone. Analysts are watching whether ETH can establish a sustained breakout before targeting $2,800 and eventually $3,000.
Ethereum Price Prediction Eyes $3,000 Breakout
In the last two weeks, ETH price has gained over 25% and is now looking for a strong breakout past $2,500. The altcoin has consolidated for a while at these levels, with analysts citing the formation of a bullish structure.
Popular analyst Luciano stated that he believes Ethereum will reach $3,000, calling it “a matter of time”. He cited the network’s central role in the broader crypto ecosystem.

The analyst added that the strength in the ETH price moves have often been followed by broader market momentum. Despite expecting volatility along the way, Luciano said he is positioning for a potentially much larger move in the coming months.
ETH Price Run to $15,000 Is Possible
Popular market analyst Crypto Patel stated that he believes Ethereum’s long-term price potential extends well beyond $15,000. The analyst views major market dips as potential accumulation opportunities instead of seeing them as exit positions.

He also pointed to his earlier $1,500–$1,600 entry zone, saying investors who followed his chart may have benefited from that setup. According to Crypto Patel, short-term sell-offs can weaken retail investor conviction before a larger move, making it important to look beyond near-term volatility.
Ethereum ETF Inflows Remain Strong
During the last month of August, inflows into spot Ethereum hit their highest levels since August 2025. As per data from SoSoValue, the net inflows during last month stood at around $1.76 billion. It marks the highest jump in monthly inflows since September 2025.

In the first week of September, Ether ETFs saw outflows for only one single day on Sept. 2nd, at $48 million. The rest of the trading sessions it has seen net positive flows.
As per data from Farside Investors, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $26.46 million in net inflows on September 4, with BlackRock’s ETHA leading the gains at $57.79 million.
BlackRock’s staked Ethereum ETF, ETHB, recorded $16.44 million in inflows, while Fidelity’s FETH saw $48.30 million in outflows. The rest of the spot Ether ETFs saw zero net flows.
