GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands, Sept. 04, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Toobit, the award-winning global cryptocurrency exchange, has been featured in CoinGecko’s 2026 State of Crypto Security Report, which examines the changing threat landscape across the digital asset industry and the measures exchanges are using to protect trader assets.
The report highlights Toobit’s Bee-Safe security framework, cold wallet custody, Proof of Reserves, real-time monitoring, and Toobit Shield Fund as part of its broader examination of centralized exchange security practices.
Toobit’s Bee-Safe framework combines account, asset, and infrastructure protections. Account safeguards include two-factor authentication, anti-phishing verification, withdrawal address allowlisting, and security controls for newly added addresses. More than 90% of assets held on the exchange are stored in offline multi-signature cold wallets.
Infrastructure protections include data encryption, DDoS protection, multi-cloud architecture, real-time risk monitoring, and ongoing independent security assessments. In August 2026, expanded penetration testing conducted by Hacken across Toobit’s web and API infrastructure and mobile applications recorded no Critical or High-severity findings, while all seven Medium-severity findings were resolved.
Toobit also maintains 1:1+ Proof of Reserves, with BTC, ETH, USDT, and USDC reserve ratios above 100%. Traders can independently verify that their balances are included in the exchange’s reserves through Merkle-tree verification.
An Additional Reserve for Platform Incidents
CoinGecko also highlights the Toobit Shield Fund, launched in October 2025 with an initial value of $50 million to cover eligible losses resulting from technical or security incidents originating from the exchange.
Protection applies automatically regardless of account size or trading volume. The fund’s assets are held across four dedicated public wallets, allowing their value and composition to be independently monitored in real time.
Industry security risks remain persistent. CoinGecko recorded $3.63 billion in losses across 245 security incidents between January 2025 and July 2026, with the 10 largest incidents accounting for more than 72% of total losses. TRM Labs separately recorded 207 hacks in the first half of 2026, the highest number it has observed in a six-month period. Infrastructure and operational compromises accounted for approximately 76% of the $972 million lost despite representing only around 15% of incidents.
Toobit is where the future of crypto trading unfolds. The award-winning cryptocurrency derivatives exchange provides zero-fee spot trading, AI trading tools, and high leverage for both crypto and TradFi markets. Built for those who thrive exploring new frontiers, Toobit maintains a fair, secure, and transparent environment for traders to navigate digital asset markets.
