AEON announced the launch of Agentic Checkout, a feature that allows AI agents to autonomously handle product searches, purchases, and payments.
Through Agentic Checkout, users can enter desired products and conditions in natural language, after which AI agents can search for items across the Shopify ecosystem and complete the process from cart building to payment. Payments are processed using the AEON AI Card. The card allows users to preset spending limits and payment authorization scopes, enabling AI agents to make payments without directly accessing a user’s main wallet or primary payment card.
Agentic Checkout currently supports more than 3 million active Shopify stores and over 1 billion products. AEON said it plans to integrate the feature with cloud-based open-source e-commerce agents and expand support to shopping and payment platforms including Amazon and Travala.
