Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with tokenization platform Securitize to support a regulated tokenized market and build digital asset infrastructure, Cointelegraph reported.
The two sides plan to support tokenization projects, including VARA-led initiatives, expand institutional participation, and review ways to operate tokenized financial products within Dubai’s regulatory framework. VARA said the agreement is intended to establish a framework for cooperation rather than introduce any specific technology or product, adding that there are no plans to announce concrete projects at this stage. Securitize currently manages about $4.9 billion in tokenized assets.
