KuCoin Web3 Wallet has upgraded its self-custodial trading interface with intent-based swaps and limit orders, integrating UniswapX and PancakeSwapX for intent routing and 1inch for offchain limit orders. The update lets users specify desired trade outcomes, with third-party fillers competing to execute eligible swaps, potentially offering broader liquidity, competitive quotes, gas abstraction and MEV protection. Limit orders are cryptographically signed and remain offchain until filled. The upgrade also covers eligible tokenized assets such as stocks and ETFs, subject to issuer rules, user eligibility, network support and liquidity. The change consolidates market swaps and target-price orders inside one wallet interface, reducing the need to move between separate DApps while users retain control of their private keys.

KuCoin Web3 Wallet Adds Intent-Based Swaps and Limit Orders to Self-Custody Platform

KuCoin Web3 Wallet has overhauled its trading interface, folding intent-based swap routing and offchain limit orders into a single self-custodial environment. The September 2 release integrates UniswapX and PancakeSwapX for intent execution, while 1inch supplies the limit-order engine.

The upgrade targets a familiar pain point for self-custody users: moving between separate decentralized applications to complete different types of trades. By consolidating market swaps and target-price orders inside the wallet, KuCoin is betting that a unified execution layer will keep users from drifting to external DApps when they want to act on a price level.

For eligible swaps, users specify the outcome they want, and third-party fillers or solvers compete to fill the order. Depending on the asset, network and available liquidity, the company said users may see broader liquidity, more competitive quotes, gas-abstracted execution and protection against adverse maximal extractable value such as front-running and sandwich attacks.

Those benefits are conditional. KuCoin did not publish independent execution benchmarks alongside the announcement, and a supported wallet does not guarantee identical routing or protections for every trade. The actual route depends on what the underlying networks and liquidity pools can support at the moment of execution.

The limit-order component lets users pick a target price and an expiry window. Orders are signed cryptographically and held offchain until a fill becomes available, which means users do not need to keep a market open or monitor prices continuously. The feature sits alongside immediate market swaps in the same interface, creating a consistent workflow across different execution styles.

KuCoin had previously partnered with 1inch on real-world asset trading. The new release extends that relationship into limit orders, adding a scheduled-execution layer to the wallet’s existing RWA access.

Tokenized assets referencing stocks, exchange-traded funds and other real-world instruments are included in the expanded routes, subject to issuer rules, user eligibility, network support, market availability and liquidity. The phrasing in the announcement describes supported routes rather than unrestricted access to every tokenized security, a distinction that matters for users who might assume the upgrade unlocks all RWA trading.

The wallet has been steadily widening its network reach. In July, it added Robinhood Chain for DeFi access, creating a separate connectivity layer that now feeds into the execution tools announced this week.

KuCoin frames the change as workflow consolidation: route supported swaps and set limit orders without leaving the wallet. Users retain control of their private keys throughout, which the company positions as a simpler path from market discovery to execution.

Self-custody does not eliminate trading, smart-contract or liquidity risk. The release confirms the integrations and the interface changes, but users still need to verify network support, order terms and route availability before signing any transaction.
