Ondo asks U.S. regulators to allow stock-based perpetual futures

Ondo Finance (ONDO) has asked U.S. regulators to allow perpetual futures tied to individual stocks in the United States, CoinGape reported. Ondo submitted three comment letters to the U.S. SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission on Aug. 24 and argued the products could be handled under the existing securities and futures regulatory framework without creating new rules. In an official blog post, Ondo said each letter addressed a different set of rules related to perpetual futures, portfolio margin, and market data.
