The People Power Party has not yet discussed digital asset taxation and will announce its position later, floor leader Jeong Jeom-sik said on Aug. 28, according to Digital Asset.
Jeong made the comment to reporters at Sono Calm in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. Party leader Jang Dong-hyeok had said at a press conference on Aug. 26 marking his first anniversary in office that standing committees were expected to hold in-depth discussions on digital asset taxation at the party workshop, but no separate discussion took place. A press release issued that day by the party’s policy committee also did not mention digital assets.
