Robinhood has made the MORPHO token available for trading on its platform, giving its massive retail user base direct exposure to one of DeFi’s most prominent lending protocols.
Back in July 2026, Morpho became the lending infrastructure powering Robinhood Earn, a self-custody yield product that lets select US customers lend the USDG stablecoin through Morpho vaults on the Robinhood Chain. That product targets roughly 7% APY.
From infrastructure partner to tradeable asset
Morpho has reported over $11 billion in deposits and has generated millions in fees. Those numbers put it in the upper tier of decentralized lending protocols.
Within a month of Morpho’s integration into Robinhood Earn, total value locked on the Robinhood Chain saw inflows exceeding $500 million.
Why retail yield matters right now
The Robinhood Earn product includes insurance against specific risks through partnerships with Lloyd’s of London and RELM.
The bigger picture for DeFi-TradFi convergence
Standard Chartered has reportedly projected a bullish outlook on MORPHO alongside the listing, which could draw institutional eyes to a token that was previously more of a DeFi-insider asset.
For Morpho specifically, the risk is concentration. Having a significant portion of your TVL and user growth tied to one platform’s product creates dependency. If Robinhood Earn were to change its lending infrastructure or reduce its crypto offerings, the impact on Morpho’s metrics could be material. But for now, with $500 million flowing in within a single month, that’s a problem most protocols would love to have.
