Strive to become the 7th largest publicly traded company holder of Bitcoin, holding approximately 1.7 billion dollars in Bitcoin
Bitcoin News posted on the X platform that Strive Asset Management purchased approximately 11,110 bitcoins for about $81.5 million, increasing its bitcoin holdings to 21,356 coins. Based on a bitcoin price of about $80,000, the holdings are valued at approximately $1.7 billion, making it the seventh largest company in terms of bitcoin reserves among publicly traded companies.
According to documents submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Strive completed the purchase between August 17 and 21, with an average purchase price of $73,409 per coin, including fees and related expenses. This purchase increased its bitcoin holdings by approximately 5.5% from the previous 20,246 coins.
Strive raised funds through the issuance of ASST common stock and SATA preferred stock to execute its bitcoin reserve strategy. During the same period, its Class A shares increased by approximately 3.65 million shares, reaching 79.89 million shares, and it issued 441,313 shares of SATA preferred stock. Due to the increase in the number of shares, Strive’s total bitcoin holdings grew by about 5.5%, but the bitcoin holdings per fully diluted share only increased by about 1.4%.
Strive CEO Matt Cole posted on the X platform that the company has newly purchased 1,110 bitcoins at an average cost of $73,409 per coin, bringing the total holdings to 21,356 coins.
Previously, in August, Strive purchased 147 bitcoins at an average price of over $64,800 per coin, and subsequently purchased 79 bitcoins at an average price of $63,231 per coin, totaling 226 bitcoins. In June, Strive purchased 2,500 bitcoins for $185.2 million, increasing its holdings to 19,000 coins.
As of August 21, Strive’s cash and cash equivalents increased from approximately $154.8 million to $171.9 million. The price of SATA preferred stock is about $100, and the annualized dividend yield was raised to 13% in April.
