Key Insights:
- Bitcoin ETF inflows reached $2.26 billion across six consecutive sessions.
- BTC price remained near $80,000 after a sharp weekly rally.
- BlackRock and Fidelity dominated Monday’s institutional fund demand.
U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds extended their inflow streak to six sessions on Monday, Aug. 24. The Bitcoin ETF group drew $337.6 million as Bitcoin crypto prices remained near $80,000. The Farside Investors data showed demand concentrated in the market’s two largest products.
The inflows came as BTC price posted one of its strongest weekly advances this year. CoinGecko data showed Bitcoin gained 24.5% over seven days. Spot-fund demand accompanied the rally, while sentiment data indicated stronger short-term risk appetite.
Bitcoin ETF Inflows Extend Six-Day Buying Streak
Farside Investors recorded $337.6 million of net Bitcoin ETF inflows for Aug. 24. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust attracted $208.9 million, leading all U.S. spot funds during the session.
Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund followed with $104.6 million in net inflows. Bitwise’s BITB added $3 million, while VanEck’s HODL drew $3.3 million.
Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust received $16.4 million, Farside data showed. The remaining tracked products reported either zero flows or smaller additions during Monday’s session.

The latest session extended the group’s positive run to six consecutive trading days. Based on the SoSoValue data supplied with the story, those sessions generated about $2.26 billion in combined revenue.
Bitbo data provided a separate measure of institutional exposure. Its U.S. ETF tracker showed 13 funds held 1.246 million BTC on Aug. 24.
Those holdings had a market value near $98.32 billion at Bitbo’s recorded prices. The total represented about 5.93% of Bitcoin’s fixed supply of 21 million.
BTC Price Pulls Back After a Rally Fueled by Bitcoin ETF
CoinGecko priced Bitcoin at about $79,101 during Tuesday’s session. The data provider showed a 24-hour range between $77,480 and $81,160.
BTC price remained up 24.5% over seven days despite the intraday pullback. Twenty-four-hour trading volume stood near $56.52 billion, while market capitalization reached about $1.59 trillion.
The weekly advance moved Bitcoin crypto back toward levels seen before its earlier correction. However, Tuesday’s retreat below $80,000 showed buyers had not established that level as firm support.
Alternative.me also showed a stronger risk appetite after months of weaker sentiment. Its Crypto Fear and Greed Index stood at 66, classified as “Greed.”
The index had printed 34, or “Fear,” one week earlier. That shift matched the rapid improvement in spot prices and ETF demand.
BTC Market Structure Shows Higher Volatility Risk
The weekly price structure remained constructive, but short-term volatility stayed elevated. CoinGecko showed Bitcoin trading across a roughly $3,680 intraday range during Tuesday’s session.
Bitcoin pricealso remained about 2.5% below its 24-hour high at the observed price. That gap showed sellers had responded after BTC briefly traded above $81,000.
Derivatives data offered another risk gauge. CoinGlass defines funding rates as payments balancing long and short perpetual futures positions.
Its Bitcoin dashboard tracked real-time rates across major exchanges. However, the public snapshot lacked a reliable aggregate rate for a directional funding assessment.
CryptoQuant’s exchange-flow framework also remained relevant to the rally. The firm defines rising exchange reserves as an increase in potential sell-side supply.
Falling reserves can indicate coins moving away from exchanges into longer-term storage. However, CryptoQuant’s public page lacked a verified reserve value for Aug. 25, 2026.
That limitation prevented a firm conclusion about immediate on-chain selling pressure. ETF flows, therefore, provided the clearest verified institutional demand signal.
Bitcoin ETF Demand Faces $81,160 Resistance Test
The next verifiable market level sat near Tuesday’s CoinGecko high of $81,160. A sustained break above that area would clear the latest intraday resistance zone.
On the downside, the same dataset placed immediate price support near $77,480. Losing that level would erase more of the recent advance.
Farside’s next daily Bitcoin ETF update will provide the clearest institutional demand check. Another positive session would extend the current streak beyond six trading days.
Bitcoin’s next test, therefore, rests on two observable signals: ETF demand and the latest trading range. Traders can compare Wednesday’s fund-flow data with Bitcoin’s reaction near $81,160.
