Grayscale, a crypto investment firm and issuer of a spot BTC ETF, said a proposed U.S. SEC framework for crypto assets would likely support activity on major networks such as ETH, SOL and BNB. In a blog post on Aug. 19, Grayscale said the SEC proposal would allow crypto projects to raise token-based funding in the United States, which in turn would help spur network activity. Grayscale added a similar phase had emerged during the earlier ICO and IDO boom. The U.S. SEC formally proposed the crypto asset framework on Aug. 18, which would exempt certain crypto investment contracts from securities law registration requirements.
